CELEBRATION/OBSERVANCE OF SCHOOL COUNCILS WEEK
To, EXECUTIVE O OFF THE CHIE DEA RAJANPUR
I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to submit that a meeting was held on 24th November, 2022 under the chairpersonship of Special Secretary School Education Department regarding implementation of directions of the Hon'ble Lahore High Court, Lahore in Writ Petition No. 105643/17 filed by Muhammad Shahid vs Government of Punjab, wherein, the following decisions were taken.
1. The CEOs/DEAS to ensure that the school council week is celebrated from
28th November 2022 to 3rd December 2022 in true letter and spirit. 2. The CEOs must ensure that the School Councils meetings are convened during the School Councils Week and the pictorial evidences, pictures etc. are shared with the department.
3. The participation of local / district administration in such meetings may also be
ensured 4. All avenues of projection of the said activity through print / electronic means including local newspapers and media channels should be exploited to spread awareness among the masses.
